Purpose of the event
The Open Event will present the state-of-the-art on home networking technologies and make the participants familiar with OMEGA's concepts and technological solutions. By providing feedback on OMEGA's technical objectives and approaches, participants will be able to influence the direction of OMEGA's technical work. For industry participants, the Open Event particularly provides the opportunity to engage with OMEGA in a mutually beneficial dialogue on home networking solutions. Especially for graduate students, the Open Event provides the unique opportunity to learn from leading European academic and industry experts about the state-of-the-art and future directions in home networking.
Target audience
The target audience of the Open Event includes:
- Experts and decision-makers from network operations
- Experts from other ICT research projects working on related issues
- Representatives from standardisation organizations
- Graduate students

The Open Event will cover the following topics:

- Inter-Mac
Format and agenda
The Open Event will consist of two parts: a tutorial part on the first day, and a workshop part on the second day.

The registration is closed - the deadline for registrations was 9 January 2009. The number of participants is limited to 80. Participation in the event is free of charge.
